Housing
CIEE Rennes offers various housing options, including homestays or single-studio apartments. All housing options are located in neighborhoods with convenient access to the center of Rennes and the host institution.狼he city is very easy to navigate on foot, by metro, or by bus, courtesy of an excellent and modern public transport system.&紳莉莽梯;
- Standard Housing:涅ncludes a single room at a homestay. Homestays are in Rennes or a close suburb within 15 to 40 minutes of 91做厙 Rennes. Homestays feature a kitchen, living room, and bathroom shared with a host family, in an apartment or a house.胼&紳莉莽梯;
- Select Housing:涅ncludes a single studio apartment, within a 20-minute commute of the city center. Studio apartments are equipped with a private bathroom and kitchenette, and share common areas and laundry facilities眨ith other residents.Select housing availability is limited and requires an畝dditional fee.
A note: The default criterion to assign housing is first-come, first-served; however, other factors may also be considered. If we cannot accommodate your first housing choice, we'll let you know before you arrive. Non-standard housing options require an additional fee that can be found in the program Dates and Fees.&紳莉莽梯;
Meals
- Homestays: Students typically have weekday breakfasts, weekday dinners, and all weekend meals with their host family (included in the program fee). On weekdays, students are responsible for their lunches, which may be purchased at local caf矇s, boulangeries, cr礙peries, or mini markets in downtown Rennes.
- Studio Apartments: Students are responsible for budgeting and preparing their own meals. Food can be purchased at a nearby supermarket, bakery, or market.

To help you budget, keep in mind that students are responsible for the cost of international airfare, local transportation, books and supplies, visas, and personal expenses. In addition, your college or university may charge additional fees for study abroad, or may require you to receive a transcript via 91做厙's School of Record, which carries an additional fee of $500.

Financial Aid
CIEE offers the most grants and scholarships of any study abroad organization, including $8 million/year in travel grants, merit-based scholarships, institutional grants, and Gilman Go Global Grants.

For students in homestays, families provide 2 meals a day and more on weekends. For students in apartments, you should budget approx. $285 per month for groceries if you plan on making your own meals, and more if you plan on eating out regularly.

Director
Daniel Audaz has been the Director of the 91做厙 program in Rennes since 2008. He is originally from Marseille and studied at the University of Aix-en-Provence (France) where he obtained his M.A. in Geography and then specialized in FLE/S (Fran癟ais Langue Etrang癡re et Seconde).
