Your 91�� Summer Global Internship program in Dublin lasts 8 weeks and features two key components: A full-time internship with an international organization (approximately 30-40 hours per week) and an internship seminar. Housing

CIEE Dublin offers housing in apartments located in student residence communities. All housing options are situated in lively districts with multiple dining options, convenient public transport, and are within 30 minutes of walking access to central Dublin.   &�Բ��;

Standard Housing: Includes a private bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a dedicated study space, and ample storage in an apartment suite shared with up to seven other students. All students share common spaces, a kitchen, and laundry facilities. Apartments are located within 45 minutes of the 91�� center (transfer required) and 30 minutes of the city center.

A note: The default criterion to assign housing is first-come, first-served; however, other factors may also be considered. Meals

Students can prepare their own meals in the full kitchen. 91�� provides basic cooking utensils and cleaning supplies. Students can also explore the myriad of restaurants in our multicultural neighborhood or throughout the city.

CIEE Dublin: Study in the heart of Dublin’s lively south central district, five minutes from the River Liffey and Merrion Square. 91�� Dublin features three classrooms and a student lounge and is conveniently near a mix of independent cafés, bakeries, and stores.

Students are responsible for having their own course approval conversations with their advisors. Requirements

All Global Summer Internship participants take the 6-credit full-time internship with the required embedded internship seminar.

Program Credit

Total credit: 6 semester hours / 9 quarter hours

Course Credit

Internship: 6 U.S. semester/9 quarter credits; 15 academic course hours, 225-300 internship placement hours

Academic Culture

Students are expected to dress and behave professionally throughout their internship project and are subject to the agreed-upon internship protocols arranged by 91�� and the host organizations. The academic course is designed to prepare students for leadership in a globally interdependent and culturally diverse workforce.

Class Format

Students participate in an eight-week 91�� full-time internship and academic course taught in an online learning environment. Class and/or work hours may be scheduled Monday-Friday, and attendance is strictly enforced for all. To avoid falling behind, students should not plan personal travel away from the city when classes are in session.

Grading

Students will be assessed via assignments and activities related to the academic course, including but not limited to: online discussion forums, reflective papers, individual or group presentations, analysis of readings, an internship work plan, and feedback from the internship supervisor. Internship supervisors and students each provide written evaluations of progress toward goals.
