Excursions & Activities
CIEE’s excursions and cultural activities in Taipei will open doors for you to explore Taiwan's rich diversity, language, culture, history, and timeless beauty in ways that will enhance your time abroad.
Samples of past excursions and activities:
- Hanging around in Ximending, a popular area for shopping and entertainment
- Visiting Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, home to stunning architecture
- Taking day trips to Dadaocheng and Bopiliao, where you’ll wander among the red brick buildings and alleyways that have stood in place for more than 100 years

Housing & Meals
Housing
CIEE Taipei offers double-occupancy rooms in a dormitory, apartment, or hotel, located in safe, lively neighborhoods with easy access to restaurants, cafés, and shops. All accommodations are within a 25–60 minute commute to 91°µÍø Taipei via Taipei Metro (MRT), bus, or bike share.
Rooms are furnished with a desk, chair, closet, and include free internet and standard 110V/60Hz electrical outlets. Coin-operated laundry machines are available on-site.
Meals
A wide variety of affordable local and international restaurants are located near your housing, making it easy to explore Taipei’s vibrant food scene.
Academics
CIEE Taipei: Located in the modern SkyCo Nanjing Fuxing Coworking Space, 91°µÍø Taipei is just a two-minute walk from Nanjing Fuxing metro station. On-site, discover comfortable study spaces, complimentary Wi-Fi, and free Americano coffee. 91°µÍø Taipei staff members are fluent in both English and Mandarin and are available by appointment to assist with any academic support needs.

To help you budget, keep in mind that students are responsible for the cost of international airfare, local transportation, books and supplies, visas, and personal expenses. In addition, your college or university may charge additional fees for study abroad, or may require you to receive a transcript via 91°µÍø's School of Record, which carries an additional fee of $500.
