Das Deutsches Projekt: Planning Goals for the Year
The countdown is almost up. In only 5 weeks I will begin perhaps my most important journey. I will see parts of the earth and pieces of myself I have never known before. This year will transform my being and permanently impact the trajectory of my life.
Im going to Germany with a purpose. Not just to see, but to search. Not just to listen, but to ask.
We are living in the future. We have artificial intelligence, self-driving cars, robot dogs, and virtual reality goggles. I remember being blown away the first time I walked into a Wendys and saw a soda machine with a dynamic glass display and 165 different drink flavors. However, the reality of our innovations is that they are only material ones. Sure, we have cool stuff, but what about a better way of life? Society's behaviors arent futuristic to match. We still have the same global problems of discrimination, homelessness, hunger, and insufficient education which plagued past generations.
A change is coming. I want to use strategic leadership to become an architect for the futuristic way of life, that way instead of treating symptoms and maintaining cycles, I can cause a permanent pivot toward a more harmonious age.
Bright things are on the horizon, and I am excited to embark to Germany. In the meantime, Ive been using lots of Google docs to articulate my goals. Im attending CBYX during my gap year, so I will be applying to college throughout the exchange. I also will be studying the education system, as it is a big influence on a nation's priorities. Finally, I am a budding creative, and I will be producing my first short film. I'm sure I will dive deeper into all of these topics in coming posts, so stick around and see where they lead.
